# Ability to download csv / copy data out of the grid view based on user entered filtered & sorting

This is available on the old extensions already. I used to have a search extension which allowed the user to search based on keyword and different filter & sort options & after getting the desired result the user would be able to download the full result in CSV. Now since you’ve introduced the filter,sort, & search function on your portal view I wanted to migrate the functionality from the old extension to the new one, but I’m still missing the crucial part of letting the user download the final result for them to use. So having this same feature on the new extensions would be great. But if I could suggest an alternative having a button to let the user copy all the result in table form would be preferred although might be more complicated to implement
