Hi, I have this setup where I have an address field and a computed formula field that loads HTML that changes every time a user enters an address. Two features I would need to enhance this setup are a button to get a user’s location as well as a button option at the side of the text field to clear (ideally, this would also be available in the number, long text field, linked records search & field where you could clear all current selections without having to unselect one by one). I’m aware of the current “get GPS location” feature, but I don’t think that would suffice as it is only collected after the user submits the form, which wouldn’t work in my case as I would want to display their location on the map. Another limitation with it is that people often accidentally click “block” on the Chrome popup asking for their location and would have to go through settings or remove their browsing history to get another prompt to allow the GPS location feature. If there’s a button that they could press, it would allow them to easily make the prompt reappear if they accidentally press “block”.
Hello @briansport13. Clearing field values on a computer is a straightforward process. Could you please clarify if your focus is primarily on providing this solution for mobile users?
Yes I’m planning to add this for customers which would mostly comprised of mobile users
Thank you for your verification. I have initiated the creation of three tickets to address your requests:
- Implementation of a clear button for fields in mobile view.
- Incorporating the capability to collect coordinates upon form loading.
- Introducing a simplified method to unblock location collection.
We will ensure to provide you with updates through this communication channel. If you have any further questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
