Hi, I noticed that when I’m trying to edit a number field type, it doesn’t focus the way it does on the old mini extension. I actually prefer the approach of the old mini extension’s inline editing, where there’s almost no loading time to edit the number since you’re not showing the whole form and waiting for it to load. It actually focuses on the field itself, which is especially useful on mobile as our keypad is instantly triggered, which is probably a good 5-7 seconds faster than having to wait for the whole form to load, click on the field, input the number, and scroll down further depending on the length of your form just to save the number change.

Hi @briansport13. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We understand your concern regarding the the performance of the in-line editing feature. We display the whole form to ensure that field validations and required field checking are properly implemented. Our team is currently reviewing this and we will keep you updated on any developments regarding this matter. Thank you again for your input.

Yea, I understand, but it’s really an inconvenient design for general use, without the need to check for all required fields. So, it would be great if there was a checkbox for each field in the grid field, to choose which kind of inline editing popup form you want to have, so you could customize which kind of popup you want when clicking a particular field inline editing button. Where you really need to check the whole form for required fields and validation, and which one where it only needs to validate for the single field for things like duplication and no negative numbers allowed for one particular field.

When editing inline, and then submitting the field … the grid reloads and the page goes all the way back to the top. Is there a way to keep your place in the grid so you don’t have to scroll back down to find your record on the next record? It’s very time consuming and tedious when you have a huge table and loads of records. Thank you!

Hello @SFW. Appreciate your feedback. Currently, there is no setup available to make this work. I’ve initiated a ticket for your request, and we’ll provide updates.
