Changelog
New extensions:
- Automatically Import CSV to Airtable: Much requested by our customers and now finally back! Automatically import CSV files into Airtable with this extension!
- Embed Maps from Airtable Data: Create a map view of Airtable records for your website! You can choose which data to show for each record and even link to a form for displaying or editing the record.
- Lookup Product Information from Barcodes: Import product information into Airtable using their UPC code and the barcodelookup.com API.
- Gather Unique Attachments from Airtable Lookup Fields: If you find yourself dealing with multiple identical attachments uploaded to a field, you can gather unique attachments to a separate field with this extension!
- GPT Assistants on Airtable: Use OpenAI’s Assistants feature with your Airtable data, for example to sort through job applications or summarize documents for you!
General changes:
- We introduced a brand new developer hub, where advanced users can create their own scripts to create bespoke bulk extensions! This is an amazing new feature and is going to help make miniExtensions even more powerful! You can find more about how this works in this help article. We are planning on allowing users to share their scripts with the community in the future, and we will start producing scripts everyone can use right now!
- The home page (what you first see after logging in) has been revamped with a more modern and user friendly design, especially for users with a lot of bases and workspaces. This is a first step in overhauling the look of the entire admin site. Let us know what you think in the discussion thread! We also revamped the “create extension” page and made some other minor UI tweaks as well throughout the site.
- We now added an indicator for the number of collaborators in your workspace settings. This will only show up when there is more than one collaborator.
- You can now manage collaborators without being connected to an Airtable account.
- We also made some tweaks to confusing descriptions across our platform and fixed an issue that had custom domain settings reset themselves in certain situations.
Form related changes:
- You can now disable your form at a scheduled date even when your form is using a login.
- We added an option to use the child form to display linked record details when using calendar mode (date picker) for the record finder, instead of just showing the start and end dates. This setting applies to both the record finder and the display of linked records on the form itself.
- You can now allow your users to unlink existing records when the record finder is hidden for a linked record field. Therefore, they will be able to unlink records, but not link new ones.
- The “duplicate form record formula” field has been moved to the Submission Actions section. It’s now only visible when “Allow users to copy submitted record to a new form” is enabled.
- We changed the way the “disable download files” and “disable open files” settings work for attachment fields. These settings now behave in a much more intuitive way. For example, if you disable opening files, users will not be able to open the preview anymore. Disabling downloads will disable the download button in the preview.
- Added a preview for .doc/.docx files
- New options for single or multiple select fields will now only be created when the form is submitted. Previously, new options would be created in Airtable immediately.
Form bug fixes:
- Fixed PDF thumbnails not showing on the form
- Fixed URL field verification to allow for longer top-level domains
- Fixed a bug that caused conditional fields to malfunction when they were based on a section header that had “hide this entire section if this field is hidden” enabled.
- Fixed a bug that caused the custom “no records found” message to never be visible due to incompatible settings. This setting is now available for read-only linked record fields.
- Fixed several small bugs in the display of layout settings for linked record fields
- Fixed the display of advanced options for single and multiple select fields to only allow valid combinations of settings.
- Fixed a bug that caused newly added single or multiple select options to not appear when using list mode.
Portal related changes:
- Fixed a bug that prevented summary fields from updating when dragging cards between columns of a Kanban view.
Other changes:
- You can now use GPT-4o in the ChatGPT’s Model on Airtable extension and using GPT-3.5 Turbo no longer requires an OpenAI API key! In fact most GPT extensions will now use GPT-4o!
