Release October 2, 2024

Dear miniExtensions Community,

We are excited to announce a brand new set of updates to our platform! This release is mainly focused on improvements to the user experience as well as bug fixes, but we are also including a couple of smaller, but useful features! You can find a list of changes listed below.

We have tested this release extensively and are expecting a smooth rollout. However, if you do run into any issues, especially serious ones that need to be fixed urgently, please let us know through the chat icon in the bottom right corner to receive help as quickly as possible!

If you have any questions, would like to discuss this release or provide feedback, please feel free to do so below.

Of course we are still working on fixes for any previously reported issues that haven’t made it into this release. Please bear with us as we squash those bugs as well!

Changelog
  • Extension/automation usage is now shown on the dashboard: This will show a counter for each extension and automation to give you a better understanding of how many records are updated by each of them in a calendar month.
  • We have improved the extension creation process:
    • Different shared view layouts now have their own shortcuts on the “create” page to streamline the process for you. The layout can, of course, be changed later.
    • You can select the layout for portals during the creation process. The layout can, of course, be changed later.
    • You now select whether or not to add a login page to a form when you create the extension.
  • Newly created forms now start with no fields. We found that for most of you, including all fields from your table by default just created a somewhat messy initial view that you then had to clean up. Now, every new form starts with a clean slate that you can add the desired fields to.
  • Shared Views now use a different icon to make them more easily distinguishable from Portals
  • The Embed Maps from Airtable Data automation now supports setting an Airtable view for filtering.
  • Tables in Portals and Shared Views now show the custom title set in the Standard Options in the list of tables on the config page.
  • Various bug fixes. We’ll notify any affected users directly.
