Dear miniExtensions Community,
We are excited to announce a brand new set of updates to our platform! This release’s main feature is the new form view for portals and shared views! It also includes some smaller improvements and bug fixes. You can find a list of changes listed below.
We have tested this release extensively and are expecting a smooth rollout. However, if you do run into any issues, especially serious ones that need to be fixed urgently, please let us know through the chat icon in the bottom right corner to receive help as quickly as possible!
If you have any questions, would like to discuss this release or provide feedback, please feel free to do so below.
Of course we are still working on fixes for any previously reported issues that haven’t made it into this release. Please bear with us as we squash those bugs as well!
Changelog
-
We’re introducing the form view to portals and shared views! With this new view type you can turn your portal/shared view table into a form for creating new records. This can be useful if you have users that need to fill out several different forms. With the form view you can share a single link with them (to the portal or shared view) and they can fill out all the forms they need! If you’re using this in a portal, all form view submissions will be linked to the logged in user automatically as well! As an added benefit, since these are subforms, they don’t count towards your plan’s form limit!
-
The bases list on your main dashboard now shows the number of enabled extensions and automations for each base.
-
We have added a button to the dashboard to schedule a meeting with our support team. We are always available to help, and now it’s easier than ever to schedule a call with us!
-
We are deprecating custom filters and sort conditions for views in the portal and shared view. If you are using these settings in your existing views you will be able to keep using them, but any new views will only allow using Airtable views to define filter and sort conditions. Airtable views provide a more predictable result and have been our recommended option for a while now. From now on, they will be the only option to define filters and sorts in the portal and shared view.

We moved the Record URL Formula from its own button to the Create & Expand Records section of the table’s settings.
