We just shipped the ability to show custom views on the portal. These custom views are sort of similar to Airtable Views, but specifically designed for miniExtensions. Here’s an example of a Custom View’s settings:
Awesome! I just added this feature to a couple of my Portal pages. I’d say if there was a Grouping option as well, that would take it to the next level! But, it is very useful as it is now.
I’ve created a ticket for our team to look into grouping. For now, you can use sort to achieve a similar result, but of course it would be nicer if they were properly grouped. Please note that grouping is a complicated feature. We’ll try to priortize it, but it will likely take time. We’ll post updates here when we have them.
Yes, I’m using the Sort as well in a ‘two stage’ setting. My main sort condition, followed by my date order sort condition. It works and is way better than nothing, but a grouping tends to more clearly define a ‘sorting’.
Understandable if it will take awhile given your explanation.
@Abdul - WOW - thanks so much for this!!! Love the way this is implemented, I like that I can even choose to show logged in user records on certain custom view! -
JUST BEING GREEDY. is 5 views the max we can have? Ability to add more would great!
Love this feature a lot!! I already wrote in and provided this suggestion, but it would be great display a count of # of records beside each view title.
Thank you for your feedback! We’ve created a ticket for this. Counting records with the Airtable API requires making too many requests to Airtable, which we need to avoid due to the Airtable API limit. That said, we’ll try to see if there’s a way around it. We’ll post here when we have updates.
Hi @amandallls. We are delighted to inform you that we have released a feature that is similar to you requested. You can find more information in this post:
