How is your forum here doing login and password? Can we use that?

Still really stressed about the limited ways for users to login in my miniextension portal, I have to solve this or it’s all been a waste of time. Is there any way for users to actually have a user name and password, and a way to manage that password? Or to get a magic code to mobile phone that doesnt have to be typed in USA format? Any advances in the login area for a portal?

The portal uses a “Users” table to manage login. You can use whatever information you like in that users table as login fields, including a username and password. That login data could be managed in Airtable directly, or through a form as well, using an individual link for each user’s record. You could also use a login formula which provides a link for each user so they don’t have to type anything to be logged in.

Regarding USA phone number formats, I’m not sure I fully understand your concern. I had previously understood your issue with this to be that your users would have to select their country first and then type their phone number and have already created an internal feature request to set a default country code for login fields.
