Limit selection to specific options (Conditionally)

I would like if it were possible to “Limit selection to specific options” conditionally in a form for creating records. I need my single select fields to show specific options when another field is a specific option.

Have you tried using “Show options conditionally” for this? From what you describe, it should do what you want it to, as you can conditionally hide certain options based on field values.

Let me know if that doesn’t quite do what you want it to, and if so, why. If there’s a gap in functionality here, we’d be happy to consider an improvement!

The function “Show options conditionally” didn’t solve my issue because I actually need the field always being visible while the form is being filled, but with different options available in the single select field depending on data from other fields.

What you’re describing is the “conditional fields” option. I’m referring to this setting here, which will not hide the entire field, but simply hide certain options within that field, which sounds exactly like what you’re asking for:
