This is awesome and works flawlessly. And your timing was incredible. It’s going to make me look really good in my Monday morning meeting🙂.
I am already using 5 Static URLs as Custom Menus. I experimented with this new feature, but when I selected one of my Fields from my Users Table, the menu item disappeared from the header.
I tried another field and got an error message: “Extension not found! Double check that the ID in the URL is correct.”
I was playing with this as to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what it would do and how I could use it differently to the static URLs I’m already using. @MoyersBell seemed very excited by it LOL.
Ha–forgive the excessive fangirling but it really did make a huge impact. If you’re interested…I can write a longer explanation (but I definitely understand NOT being interested in it LOL) but basically I have various dynamic URLs that I can pull together in a single conditional formula field in Airtable and add THAT field as the portal menu item. Something in the past that has required a lot of tedious and kludgy workarounds that now can be accomplished with a single formula field and this new feature. It sort of seems like magic!
I think it would be beneficial to have the option to tie the Menu Title to an Airtable Formula for further customization.
