List View is the only option

I want to create a directory. The “employees” table is both the user table and a table that needs to be visible. I created a linked record to itself in Airtable so it shows as an available table.
Now I am only able to use “list” view and not able to add additional fields. I tried adding a field as a lookup to the linked record I made in Airtable, but that is not available. How can I make this work?

Oh, I think I figured it out - have to add a child form.
