Dear miniExtensions Community,
We are excited to announce a brand new set of updates to our platform! This release includes the much-requested “conditonal portal tables” feature, a brand new DALL-E 3 image generator automation and several smaller changes! You can find a list of changes listed below.
We have tested this release extensively and are expecting a smooth rollout. However, if you do run into any issues, especially serious ones that need to be fixed urgently, please let us know through the chat icon in the bottom right corner to receive help as quickly as possible!

Of course we are still working on fixes for any previously reported issues that haven’t made it into this release. Please bear with us as we squash those bugs as well!

Conditional portal tables: You can now set conditions to only display certain tables to certain types of users, e.g. only for users with a checked “Admin” checkbox, or users from a certain department etc… This has been a much-requested feature and we are delivering it with this release! Some of you have asked for conditional menu items and custom views as well. Please bear with us, this should be coming very soon, too!

DALL-E 3 image generator: We have added a new automation that allows you to generate images in bulk based on Airtable data using the DALL-E 3 API. Please keep in mind that you’ll need an OpenAI API key for this to work as well as have billing set up properly in your OpenAI account. OpenAI will charge you for each generated image.

Gallery views for both portals/shared views and linked record fields on the form now support multiple thumbnails (up to 6) per record.

Search on the create page has been improved with relevant keywords for each extension and automation.

We’ve added a list of encoded field names on the form’s prefill settings page. This should help setting up prefills for fields with complex names or names containing special characters.

We’ve added some more color variations in the Styling & Customization settings.

We’ve added a “static text” option for the profile icon in the portal.

We fixed the “insertNode” error some users were seeing when using the browser’s translation feature on our extensions.

Several bug fixes. As always, we will notify affected users directly.
