Hi team,
Hope fully this isnt a duplicate request.
Also - i’ve been fluent in the old miniext Portal setup, so i’m a fresh noob on the new one - apologies if the question is basic…
On my previous portal, I had the ability to set whether a form field was visible on the basis of a ‘default code’ was on my username record… ie: Field would show if XX was in my usernames record, would not show if XX was not present… is the ability to filter etc using lookup fields a possibility in the future? Or is there a workaround that i’m missing?
I will bring this up with the team to see if we can add this in our product roadmap. As a workaround for now, you can create a formula field that will show the value of the lookup field. You can use this formula field in the Conditional Fields. Thank you for your feedback and let us know if you have any other request.
Wanted to add to this since this is preventing me from using the new form as well. The issue with using the formula workaround @Abdul is that for child records, the lookup won’t appear since the record hasn’t technically been created yet.
This is a good point. I will update the ticket with this information. I also forwarded your +1 to the team to see if it’s possible to prioritize it. Unfortunately, we don’t have any timeline for when it will be shipped. I will let you know if there is an update on this ticket in the future. We appreciate your feedback and please let us know if you have any other requests!
We’re excited to inform you that our latest release now allows the use of a lookup field in conditions. You can find more information about this update in our post below:
